DOUG KARR Director & Co-Writer Doug Karr has been creating original independent films since 1997. Karr's latest film Ten For Grandpa, apersonal investigation into the life of his own grandfather, an infamous Cold War merchant banker, premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Karr's 2006 film, Anniversary Present, was featured in the Best of Raindance Shorts DVD and called “the funniest of the bunch” (Time Out London). Karr's other credits include the award winning documentaries LSD25 and The June Bug Symphony, as well as Lifecycles: A Story of AIDS in Malawi and the 2007 follow up film, The Face of AIDS. His recent script My Thermonuclear Family won the Grand Prize at the 2007 Filmmakers International Screenplay Competition. His films have been seen by audiences around the world and have been distributed on numerous television outlets. Along with Edward Boyce, Karr is a partner of Chop Wood Carry Water, a New York‐based film, commercial, and music video production company whose corporate and nonprofit clients include General Mills, Unilever, Adidas, Vitaminwater, Saatchi & Saatchi, Physician's Formula, Playtex, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The New York Times, Elle.com, Etsy, Universal Music Group, New York Philharmonic, itsasickness, Pearson Education, American Express Canada, Rotary Club International, The ONE Campaign, Children Affected by AIDS Foundation, and The Lunchbox Fund.
		NUNO VIEIRA FAUSTINO Co-Writer Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, a small volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Nuno Vieira Faustino’s movement was confined by the sea, but as a result his imagination blossomed. At 16, Faustino wrote a mystery novel for children. The draft was picked up by a major book publisher in Portugal and the novel was extended into a book series. After a career in advertising, Nuno moved to Lisbon to open a creative writing company. In Portugal, he has created and developed numerous TV shows, ranging from political satire to a longtime partnership with The Walt Disney Corporation. But his fascination for scriptwriting was not fulfilled and, in 2008, Nuno bought a one‐way plane ticket to New York City, where he now works as a screenwriter and filmmaker.
		AIMEE MCCABE Producer Aimee McCabe works as a New York City based freelance producer, event planner and nonprofit consultant. Seven years ago, she moved from the Midwest to pursue her dreams in the big city. Working in various producing capacities for numerous projects in film, theater and dance, in addition to time spent in front of the camera, she discovered a love for the details that go into making projects happen. She has produced galas and fundraising events for a host of New York nonprofits and has decided to direct that expertise into the film arena. Recently, she directed and produced the documentary Cleanse, currently in post-production.
		FLAVIO ALVES Producer Flavio Alves is a Brazilian writer, film director, and producer. He was granted political asylum in the United States in 1998 with the help of the Immigrants and Refugee Rights Clinic at New York University's School of Law. Shortly thereafter, he attended Columbia University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science. After graduating, Alves worked as an assistant to then-New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) and Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY). In 2007, Flavio returned to school to study film production at New York University, where he received the Technisphere Award for Outstanding Achievement. Since then, he has directed and produced more than ten short films. His most recent completed project, The Secret Friend, premiered at the 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival, where it was chosen as Best of the Fest. In 2008, Flavio Alves founded Queens Picture LLC, a New York based film production company.
		MYNETTE LOUIE Producer A New York-based independent film producer, Mynette Louie produced Tze Chun's CHILDREN OF INVENTION (Sundance 2009, 17 fest awards), co-produced Andrew Bujalski's MUTUAL APPRECIATION (Top 10 films of 2006--EW, Village Voice, Film Comment, Artforum, etc.), and is currently in post-production, pre-production, and development on several narrative feature projects. Louie was a fellow of the 2008 Rotterdam Lab, 2009 Sundance Creative Producing Lab, and 2010 Berlinale Talent Campus. She is on the Selection Advisory Committee for the Sundance Labs, was named by Ted Hope as one of "21 Brave Thinkers Of Truly Free Film," and frequently serves as a mentor and panelist for organizations such as IFP, Film Independent, Tribeca Film Institute, and indieWIRE. Mynette previously worked at the Hawaii Film Office, where she authored the state's production tax credit, and in business development and marketing at SportsIllustrated.com, Jupiter Research, and Time Magazine. A native New Yorker, Mynette graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University with a B.A. in East Asian Studies, focusing on Chinese literature and film.
		ROY GOKAY WOL Producer Since graduating with honours from Canada's Brock University for Film Studies and Dramatic Arts, Wol has produced, line produced, and post supervised numerous films. Now NYC based, Wol has also worked extensively in Europe, the Middle East and Canada. From Turkey's Kalafilm and Plato Films, to Lionsgate for Stir of Echoes II starring Rob Lowe, and Focus Features for David Cronenberg's Oscar‐nominated Eastern Promises. Wol has also worked as a development grant consultant for numerous independent features including The Baby Formula directed by Alison Reid (winner of the best film award at the Nashville Film Festival and Toronto's Inside Out). He has also gone grant‐writing and producing for The Ripple Project. In the advertising world, Wol produced 2009's Heart Month web campaign, the short film Kill Your Television (distributed by Quat! Media), and is part of the Chop Wood Carry Water team, producing numerous films, TV projects, and commercials.
		PATRICK LETTERII Associate Producer Patrick is a Brooklyn based producer and director with his hands in a multitude of creative arenas. In addition to working with Chop Wood Carry Water, Patrick works with Flavorpill New York and runs Tenement Street Workshop, a non profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Brooklyn. Founding Tenement Street in 2008 , the company has developed into a multiplatform collective that produces new theatre, music, and film from some of New York’s most talented young artists, in performance spaces ranging from off-Broadway houses to Bushwick rooftops. Patrick’s last two plays, Lights and Music and Threesomes!, were performed in Baltimore, New York and South Africa.
		ADRIAN CORREIA Director of Photography Adrian grew up in a small town in Connecticut. He attended the University of Connecticut, ultimately earning degrees in history and sociology. Adrian proceeded to forego doctoral studies in history to try his hand at the exciting and lucrative field of production assisting. Several years as a PA, grip, electric, camera assistant, and finally as a cinematographer have proven to be extremely fruitful. Adrian has fostered an impressive career, building an extensive resume of features, short films, documentaries, commercials, promos, television, web series, and music videos. His upcoming features include “Junction”, “Zerosome”, and “Sinking Sands”. Above all, Adrian truly loves being on set. No matter what challenges arise, there is no where he would rather be.
		KAET MCANNENY Production Designer After graduating Temple University in 2007, Kaet McAnneny moved to New York City and began Production Designing/ Art Directing films, commercials and television. After designing the A&E series, "Watching the Detectives" in 2008, she went on to art direct segments for "Sesame Street" and Nickleodeon. In early 2009 Kaet began her focus on scenic artistry and pursued faux finish study with the founder of Divine Rooms. Afterwards, Kaet designed "Silver Tongues", which recently premiered at The Slamdance Film Festival. Since "Art Machine", Kaet has been working constantly, most recently as commissioned artist for a series of Bloomingdale viral ads. Kaet currently resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her husband.
		MARINA LELCHUK Costume Designer Upon receiving a Fashion Design degree from College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning, Marina moved to New York to work for Versace and build her career in the world of luxury fashion. Following a successful tenure in fashion industry specializing in high-end couture and product development, Marina shifted her career path to pursue her true love of designing and creating costumes for theatre. From multi award-winning web series “Anyone But Me”, music videos and colorful award winning theater dance productions by Company XIV to network television shows for Comedy Central to award winning feature “Silver Tongues”, Marina is enjoying working alongside talented and reputed directors and writers in the arts and entertainment industry.
		MITCHELL HART Visual Effects Supervisor Following high school, Mitchell wanted to go to film school. After his parents watched him jump off the roof with a camera, they said "No". Instead, he went to the University of Colorado and got involved in anything with a camera. The broadcast news club, the newspaper and the school of Journalism were giving them out on the first day, so that's where Hart was. Since graduating, Hart has designed for advertising firms, programmed for Harvard University and developed television productions. In 2007, he co-founded a media company that produces transmedia properties for kids.
		ADAM KRUEGER Original Artworks Adam Krueger was born in Illinois and currently resides in Manhattan. He received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and his MFA from The School of Visual Arts, in New York. He has shown in group exhibitions at David Zwirner Gallery, Marlborough Chelsea, Phillips de Pury, and Deitch Studios, to name a few. This year, Adam erected his first two solo shows in NYC, at Coleman Burke Gallery and Fuse Gallery. Krueger’s work has been covered by Whitehot Magazine, M Magazine, the New York Times, and the Huffington Post. “Krueger’s work is like a haunting whisper. It takes a moment to move past the ethereal beauty of Krueger’s paintings to see the dismal, if not ominous, tone his images elicit... 		MARK KONDRACKI Composer Mark Kondracki's roots in music and audio run back to his classical piano training and guitar upbringing. His musical studies began at the age of 5 and he made his big screen debut 6 months later, performing Beethoven's 5th on the piano. As a musician, he has toured with several bands and shared the stage with No Doubt, Gregg Allman and played with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Mark's music has been featured on television world-wide, in film and in a variety of advertising and corporate projects. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from Columbia University in New York City and has studied privately with Juliard professors. He is a Grammy nominated and Emmy Award winning composer/engineer.
